Oak Log offers many benefits to the winemakers concerned with the quality of their wines.
Introduces into your barrels, our Oak Log are designed to extend the life span of your cooperage, by maintaining and improving their aromatic quality.
Oak Log can be used at the beginning of the wine ageing, for red, white and rosé wines, to give complexity and oaky aroma. It can be also be immersed during the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, reacting with microorganisms, accentuating the wine sweetness and adding structure.
Oak Log gives a unique structure and softness, providing a perfect balance between sweetness and acidity.
Our Oak Log is taken from straight, fine-grained, flawless oak trees that are at least 150 years old. After 2 years of seasonning in an outdoor wood yard, staves are milled to a perfect sphere shape. The stavewood quality Oak Log embodies the French expertise and excellence we use for our barrels. We strive to utilize all of our French merrains and minimize waste. Oak Log guarantees ease of use and will mature the wine similar to a new barrel.
Oak Log, depending on the toasting, gives aromatic complexity combining finess and softness. We offer a selection of 4 heaters:
